in my 98 camry, I took out the factory 6x9 and instaled two aftermarket ones that are rated up to 280watts each, I decied that i wanna run an amp to them so i can get louder sound out of them, I wired the amp and it works fine, but the problem is i dont know if i need the RCA plugs or not cause im not getting any sound out of the speakers when i hook them up to the amp, so do I need to run the RCA plugs out of the back of the headunit and if i do what plugs I use the rear or front??

Yes, you have to send the amp a signal before it amplifies anything.  How is the amp working fine if you get no sound?  If you're powering the rears, use the rear RCA outputs.
