some times i will just be listen to music and all of a sudden my subs will go off so then i have to turn off my radio and then turn it back on whats wroung and how to i fix it
Sounds like you are loosing power while driving. Check your connections on the amp. Everything should be tight. Next I would check the ground. Make sure the screw/bolt that you use is metal and is connecting to the bare metal of the chassi. It must also be tight. The next thing I would do is to check the power wire. Make sure it is connected very tight to your battery. Check you fuse. Some fuse holders get corroded and can lead to a bad contact.

If after you've checked what Ohmz has said and you still have the problem...you might be over heating your amp, by running too much of a load through them...but since you didn't state the amp make and model, subs with Ohm rating, and how they wired to the amp...I dunno...just check what Ohmz said first...

the amp is a bazooka 1500 mono amp its runing two ten inch gnx polks and i dont think its over heating because some times its a few min after i start my car and only happens when there is a lot of bass but then agien it some times wont do it at all so i dont know
sounds more like a shorted speaker.. when the voice coils heat up, they expanded.. Tinsle leads may be too long and touch the basket.. seen that happen with a lot of old POS MTX and Rockford.. check for arcing on the basket and the tinsle lead for that.. usually if you have to turn the radio off and the amp instantly comes back on when you turn the radio on, it's going into protect... for a reason.. not overheating.. if it overheats and you turn it back on, it may not immediatly come back on.. it will need a cool down period.. be glad that your amp is working correctly.. not like 10 years ago when they would just blow up... like an old Orion I had.. Rockfords would blow fuses.. but most would just burn up..

my amp only really does it when i am playing a really bassy song i could play rock music and it never did it so i dont now
Check the subs.....
Take a multimeter, put to the Ohms or resistance setting and put it to the terminals...
Whether it's a 4 or 8 ohm sub, will determine the reading...remember, there will be a slight tolerance difference...so for a sub the reading could be between 3.4 and 4.5 ohms for a 4 ohm sub, and 7.5 to 8.5 for a 8 ohm sub...if you're reading below those, chances are you have a blown or shorted out Voice Coil... or the tinsel leads are whacked out...like Snoman said...I very much doubt it's an amp problem..sounds like a sub is either F.U.B.A.R. or on the road to it man...Hey, look at it this way..at least it's the cheaper side...well not in all cases but most.....
The reason why it's only doing it to a "bassy" song, is because the lower the bass frequency, the more the laod on the amp changes..so if you have a shorted out Voice Coil, or a partially shorted out one...you're putting more of a load on the amp..a load the amp is not supposed to handle...
And like Snoman said...Be Glad the amp is working right!
