My 2000 F150 had a factory changer installed. Now that I have a new Alpine CDA-9831 I have lost the ability to control it. It is just taking up room in my console. I was going to take it out but began to wonder if there was a way to control the factory changer using my new head unit. Any ideas on this?

Mike

No, but if you have the factory deck with Alpine written on the front with a CD button, you can use an M-bus changer with the adapter.

I don't think I've ever seen a Ford factory head unit with the word Alpine printed on it.

They're not all that common, but they pop up every now and then.  Have a look: https://search.ebay.com/ford-alpine-cassette_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8
