I'm on need of repairing this equipment. Is an Infinity CD/Cassette/Radio Unit from a '96 Chrysler Concorde. I've asked for an estimate in a place I've found searching on the web ( Here )and they asked me $-245-$280 tfor the job. I can get a good condition working unit for half of that on eBay. Does anyone knows of a reasonable place to send this unit for repair? It works fine almost all times but sometimes the FM does not engage, or makes ugly noises. I've checked the antenna and that is not the problem. I've already installed an aftermarket unit which works fine.

I have exactly the same problem with my deck.  I bought an Alpine from www.ikesound.com, but they're not an authorized internet dealer, so no warranty.

I bet your AM comes through fine- correct?  That means your antenna's plugged in, and good.  It's the tuner all right.  I'm debating having a guy locally repair it, or sending it in through work.  I'm not sure which way will be cheaper.

You are right, the AM works fine. Some times if I turn it off and back on a couple of times the FM comes also back.

Looks like there are not decent repair places in the country. Nobody can suggest a good place for this repair.posted_image

sounds like the FM tuner front end is defective... not a huge repair..... get the service manual, get the part #, get the part, replace it, clean it, done.....
