its time for me to get a new system im getting a jeep grand cherokee and im not sure if i should get 2 type r 10's or 4 type e 10's. what would you guys suggest for more spl. Also if i were to get 4 type r's instead do u think i would have to upgrade the alternator.

2-r's vs. 4 e's will be pretty equal in the end. Both set up's require about 1000 watts rms to get them really moveing. AS for uprgadeing the alternator, it is always reccomended, especially if your competeing. But it mainly depends on what amps you end up with and how much current they draw. I would go with the 2 type r's, but make them 12s rather then 10s. A aftermarket alt may not be nessecary, but i would recommend it.

Anything that puts out 1000 watts rms, MRD-M1000, MRD-M1001 to name a few. There are many many more great amps out there.
