im planning to build a sealed 1.25 cubic feet box with 2 chambers.
the box is going to hold 2 12" Alpine typeS SWS 1240 4ohm subs.
planning to power these babys with 1 Alpine MRV-1507,

Im tring to get the tightest, deep bass in the lease space as possible.
I drive an 97 Eclipse Spyder & my trunk is not too big.

just finished drawing out the measurments.. my math is a little rusty.. can someone confirm these dimetions for me please..

wood im planing to use is 3/4 MDF & fiberglassing the outside of the box to help keep the air in & make the box look a lil better.

2nd question...

Ive had many different systems in the past. ive always used ported boxes & have been pretty happy with them.. this would be my first experince using a sealed box.. ive been told from different people.. for the amp I use it would be best to use a sealed box.

can someone tell me the difference in sound with a sealed & ported box??

thank you in advanced..

IMO sealed hits a little punchier and tighter. ported just sounds best with low power since the box has no backpressure. most guys that compete run ported because low power=high SPL (usually) if setup right.

on your box dimensions. interior width x height x depth. divide that by 1728=total airspace.
