Hi guy's,    I am currently running a cadence Q400 for my front (Diamond Audio M661) speakers and rear (MTX T6.6) speakers. Sound quality is still not  as I expect it to be. Could it be the amp itself? ANyone have any experience with this particular amp?    Chris ------------- Alpine CDA-9833 HU

either the amp or the wires used could be the problem.  what type of quality are the rca's?

If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

Update: Just got in, was out playing with settings some more (too many too play with). Got it to sound a little better but still not what I would expect or hope for.     In this case I am just woundering if I replaced the cadence amp with say a JL 300.4 if that might increase the sound quality or might it not. My local shop deals with JL, Alpine and Kicker.  Chris ------------- Alpine CDA-9833 HU

The amp really dosn't make that much of a difference (unless it has an EQ or bass boost or something). I would maybe try a new headunit instead of a new amp. An Eclipse headunit would be alot better.

I use cadence amps all the time. I have a ZRS-4 on my mids/highs and a ZRS-9 on my lows. Trust me, its as clean and as clear as you will want when its hooked up right. If you trade in that Q400 for anything, make it a ZRS-4.

Now that I have a really good front channel going it seems as if the signal isn't as clear as it should be. I do like Cadence and maybe this old amp is just getting tired. I will definatly look into the ZRS-4. Chris ------------- Alpine CDA-9833 HU
