I want to get 2 sets of kodas for my car. I have a us amps 600x from an old install thats rated at 2 x 150 @4 (underrated?) 300 x 2 @2. Kodas take 100 RMS recomended. Would the chances be high of me blowing these up? Would it be alright if I wire both sets to the amp @ 2 ohms, or should I just buy another amp?

Reminder: amps don't blow up speakers, people do.
You could run a 25w rms speaker with a 14134234w amplifier, and if you listened within the speaker's limits you would never ever have a problem. Said another way, the amplifier won't put out 150w all the time. It will only put out 150w when you ask it to.
Do you realize how ear-blistering loud a full 100w+ to a component set is? Probably not. Most people will never ever come near that volume level with their interiors.
I think that amp would be fantastic for two sets of Kodas. Headroom is always good, imo. Just make sure you know what you're doing when it comes to setting gain, operate the volume knob with a brain, and use a high pass crossover. You'll be fine.
One last point. Koda's don't take 100w rms "recommended" - 100w rms is the maximum they'll handle thermally for a prolonged listening period. Indeed, right on their site it says, "NOTE: Power rating is thermal only! It is NOT a power requirement; typically you get full output with significantly less power than the rating."
Just to beat this point home, here's a quote from the Koda manual: "The power rating is 100W RMS. If you listen at levels requiring a constant 100W output, not only will you quickly go deaf, but also you can damage the drivers."
You'll almost always get full output with less than 100w to interiors. With that in mind, while headroom -is- nice, you might be better off moving that amplifier to the subs or selling it for something that will actually be used.

Very good point Kfr01. I try to tell that to people all the time. All I ever hear is *I need 500 watts to power my front channel*. Uhg, what a waste.
I run a 75 x 4 amp to my front and rear fill and will never ever use all of it. I used to work with home Audio systems and I always had the same responce from people there as well. Our main line was Onkyo and most of their lower to midline amps were rated under 100w per channel. *why would I buy that* I always heard, then they would get it home and hooked up, then they changed their minds after figuring out that they couldn't eve turn the volume up more than half way without blowing their ears apart. Just my two cents.
