I need to tune this system for primarily SQ - They listen to house/techno/trance music and I can't seem to adjust it without pitfalls arising in some areas.  It's in a 2005 Beetle and I've applied 50sq ft of brown bread .  A JL 500/1 powers 2 10w3v2's @ 4 ohms, and a 300/4 powers mbquart pce-160 components in the front/rear.   Sounds good playing rap or rock, but with electronic music it varies every song.   What should the settings on the amp's x-overs and parametric eq be that will accomodate sudden changes during each song?

Set the crossovers points on both amps equal at about 80Hz, low pass on the subs and high-pass on the mains. Use the 24db/octave setting.  Make sure your input voltage and sensitivity is properly set and adjusted for the HU output.  On the 500/1 set the bass EQ to off.  If your subs are ported, use the "infrasonic" filter set to just below the tuning frequency.  If sealed, turn it off.
