Question:

Does the 1991 Accord have a factory Amp?

I did an install and the radio powers up great but no sound from the speakers.

I checked the speaker wiring using a small AA battery and checked out fine.

HELP !!!

It depends if it's a premium system or what not..sounds yours does..jsut go to your local shop and get an interface kit...that should solve it..

Not to my knowledge. The problem sounds like a OEM amp is not being powered up but all the 1990 -  1993 Accords that I have ever worked on did not have am OEM amplifier. Make sure that you have all three main connections on the CD player that you installed connected: switched ignition, constant power and ground.

There was an Accord of that vintage with a Bose system, but I believe it was only in the Special Edition in 1993.

My guess is you either have a bad radio (unlikely), or one of the speaker wires is shorted to ground, putting the radio into protection mode.  Unplug the radio, then use your multimeter or test light to test all 8 of the speaker wires---if any of them has any continuity to ground whatsoever, the radio's output will shut down.
