I have a Infinity Perfect 12.1 4 ohm single voice coil sub. I actually purchased it online rather hastily, meaning to get a DVC coil version so I could use it with an amp running at 2 ohms. My question now is am I limited to running the amp at 4 ohms to the sub or is there a way I can wire the sub to the amp so that I can take advantage of the increased output running at 2 ohms? It would make my amp choice a lot easier.

Bridge the amp MONO, on the sub outputs....thats your choice
4ohm mono is all you can hope for

Get a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1. It will put out 600 watts @ 4 ohms. Or you can go with their 400.1 if you think 600 is to much. I would say to get a mono-block amp instead of a 2 channel.

Is that amp a good amp? It looks perfect from a wattage standpoint and I have heard pretty good things about PG.

They're great amps, I run the 600.1 on my Perfect 12.1d. Sounds phenominal.
JUST BUY FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER.
The very first run of these amps were know to have problems, but everything is fixed and all is well. But still, a warrenty is somthing I would never work without.

I would have to agree with Francious. Either the 600.1 or the 400.1 would be a great match for the 12.1d. And, definatly buy it from an authorized dealer. It is so tempting to buy online due to the lower prices but, in the end, you might get stumped.
I myself do buy online sometimes but, only when my budget is as tight as a frog's a**.
Just my 2 cents!!!
