I have a memphis 500D and i want to know if its 1 ohm stable. I want to power my 2 10" dual 4ohm mclass's at 1 ohm. Thankyou

well im not able to wire my subs down to 2 ohms. Only 4 ohm or 1 ohm.

Keep it at 4-ohm. Don't go to 1-ohm.

You -could- buy another 500D and use one amp per subwoofer at 2-ohms. That would greatly increase your available power and keep both amplifiers within their comfortable range.

The only thing you'd have to worry about then is -overpowering- your subs. Take care with your gain and with your volume knob on the receiver and you'l be fine... and running with some nice headroom.

Are you talking about the 16-PRD500.1? Yes, it is one ohm stable, but I would recommend another amp, and run them each at 2 ohms... they'll last longer...

Woops, sorry. I thought you had the mclass for some reason.

I like my original advice. Get a twin and run them both to one sub. :-)
