I just bought an SE10 from Resonant Engineering and was wondering what amp I should get. It is DVC 4ohm, 600w RMS, 1200w Peak.

Thanks,
Warren

Depends on the box you plan to run with. A large ported box? You shouldn't get an amplifier that big. A small sealed box? Go ahead and get an amplifier that does 600w @ 2 ohms, if you really feel like it.

Even with a small sealed box, anything in the 300-600w range will be fine. The max 3db difference between 300w and 600w will barely be noticable.

Is will be in a small sealed box. I would like somthing that is a bit more on the powerful side. Can anyone recomend a specific brand/model?

I like JBL, MTX, and Memphis for bang/buck right now. Brands like Eclipse, Zapco, Xtant are always fantastic + reliable, although a little more expensive.

I'd get a mono class d that puts out 300w+ at 2-ohms.

Pricy but clean and honest power option:

Super fantastic deal b/c of MTX's new line:

Very nice JBL:

Not the one I'd pick, but it'd certainly work:

Anyway, good luck. Let me know which way you're leaning / pick.

Why wouldn't you get a amp that would push all 600 watts if that is the RMS rating?
