I am working on a '99 c280 installation. They want to put in an aftermarket HU and not bypassing the Bose amp. As far as I can tell, the OEM HU on this mercedes is a becker audio 30 HU. It looks like the output coming out of the HU to the Bose amp is a speaker level output (or input to the amp). I called Becker tech support but they don't know for sure. Anybody knows this for sure? If it is the case, I can just use the wiring harness. If not, I have to bypass the amp and go straight to the speakers, which are 2 ohms, so.... Can anybody help me?

Tell them if they want to replace one thing they must replace everything or it will sound like crap. Don't give them any other option.

yes that after market hu will not take a 2ohm load.
