I do lots of cellular handsfree kit installs and it would be so nice to not have to hunt and peck with a dangerous test light for radio mute wires. Does anyone have any info on this.

I will say that yesterday i purchased a soundgate GMCELL adapter and not only does it mute, it says phone on the screen, and lets you feed audio to driver front speakers, with its own volume control.(if the radio is on loud it mutes it and the call is set at a different volume)

these cables are 20 or 30 bucks.and work great.

thanks guys

Yep.. No what your talking about.

I install c/kits for a living and the support out there is absolutely hopeless.

Get this. I do alot of work for my local ford dealership but do you think theyre gonna help. No way, I had to import keys to remove the factory standard stereos_Ford wouldn't give me any saying that they are dealer only priveleges and..... the latest mondeo over here is supppose to be coming out factory fitted with a mobile phone loom but do you think they'll tell me where I cant find it.  "HA"  you have to be joking.

Anyway back to the subject, I gather most of my information via forums like this one amongt many others and most of my repeat customers are happy to let me have extra time just to get to know my way round their vehicles.
