I am having a lot of noise in a system I just installed.  I have 2 sets of comps, a set of subs, and a Premiere deck.  There was no sign of noise for over 3 weeks and the kid I installed it for has since changed his alternator and said it didnt have any noise before or after he changed it.  Now he has lots of noise.  When he shuts the door-you can hear it in the speakers and subs, and there is tons of alternator noise.  I hav tried regrounding everything and have been unsuccessful. I even tried new RCAs.  I think it might be the diodes in the alternator but I could be wrong.  PLEASE HELP......

I had the same problem at my shop, and it turned out to be a bad ground on the deck. Maybe you could try taking the ground wire from the deck out of the factory harness and giving it it's own seperate ground.

Yeah I have similar problems. I had 2 decks in my car, both pioneers. I never had any noise. Now I installed an AVIC-N1 and tons of alternator wine and buzzing is comming from the door speakers. I have them on an amplifier and When I pull the rca's out of the amp, the noise goes away. Im not getting any other noise from any speakers.

kustomizer, when trouble shooting any problem, always begin with what was changed last.  If the system was fine before the alternator swap, then the problem is most likely in the alternator or the installation.  Check the ground, the engine ground strap, and the voltage regulator.  Make sure nothing was damaged under the hood when the alt swap was done.  Make sure the battery terminals are clean.

I agree with DYhon.

One thing though, when he changed the ALT, did he upgrade to a HO? If so, did he upsize the wire going from the alt to the battery?

If he did, Did he change the ground wires under the hood as well?

may be rf interference from somewhere else.  try wrapping the harness of the deck and the first few feet of RCA's with aluminum tape.  that usually works for me
