Hey, I have a Pioneer DEH-P8400MP (https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4039_37907,00.html) head unit. I was installing new speakers, and an amp. So obviously I disconnect the negative, forgetting the deck had the security feature, and when I finished installing the equipment, and had it all plugged in, i started up the car, and the unit wouldnt turn on. So i double checked and made sure no fused or anything blew. But i was 99% sure it was the Anti-Theft security kicking in. My question. How do i Reset it? i dont have a manual, and i read the one on the pioneer website for my head unit. This has happened last year, before i bought the car off the person when i was testing it. but it was working this time.

A little more info:

When I first tested the car last summer, we put my batter in the car, because it didnt have one. The head-unit wasnt working at the time, but i didnt end up buying the car. When i bought it this year, i picked up a new Eliminator deep cycle battery, and put it in. everything worked fine. Then when i didnt this install, it didnt work after. can anyone help? thanks.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Try https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/faq/list/0,,2076_149599157,00.html

Go to Knowledge Base at the bottom of the page...type in "security" in the box, scroll the categories to "car audio" and "CD player".

we dont have an authorized pioneer dealership... heh, actually we do. I am a good frequent customer there. They give me 30-40% off. anyways, i don't know if he'd know how to, but he might. he's weird like that, haha... hmm, i know a cop who used to be MECP certified, ill see if he can help me. But the thing is, when i put the battery in the first time, it didnt happen. maybe it will be fixed when i get back to town when its out of the shop. sometimes i have a knack to leave things alone for a while, and they fix themselves.
