Hi,

I was used to the old Orion line. GREAT no problems USA MASE AMP. No that DEI bought them out are they still a good reliable line of audio?

Thanks

I loved the old Orion stuff too. I haven't owned the DEI Orion, but from what I've heard it is still good stuff, just not as strong as it used to be.

I am very hesitant to like any of the brands under the DEI name, I feel their overall quality and technology has slipped. Orion, PPI and ADS were excellent companies when they were independent, but now there are better products for the money.

One of my nephews is a regional rep for DEI and associated brands.  He tells me that he has seen no real increases in problems or returns reported since the mergers.  (Take that for what it's worth!)

What do you have available to you? What are you carrying now? What do your competitors carry? What does your clientele consist of?

You would probably do well selling the DEI brands, the names still hold some clout, you didn't mention selling them.

Check out Memphis, a local shop near me gets 70 points out of that brand.

I like Arc and RAC (rainbow audio) both companies sell together and have many different lines.

I would'nt hesitate to carry either Orion or Memphis products. The shop I always go to sells both and they are both good sellers, although I would give the nod to memphis simply becasue they are not sold online except for ebay, so people that want memphis will have to go to a shop, orion stuff can be found cheaply online.
