Sometimes when I try to transmit with my CB I get interference over my head unit.  There is a constant poping coming through my stereo.  But not all the time.  Only some times.  I don't run an amp on my CB, and this happens both in CD and radio on the headunit.  Any ideas?

RF interference. Nothing you can do about it. My nextel does the same thing.

It just started.  This is a new problem.  I have had the CB and HU installed for over a year and this just started recently.

Even if it just started, auex is right.

Ok, but why would it start all of a sudden?  And is it coming from the radio itself, or the antenna?  Any way I can put a filter on the power lines?

Try turning the mic gain down. If you have a power mic, try replacing the battery in it and turn the gain down.

Well, you could also try redoing the grounds for both the cb if wired or radio if aftermarket. Chances are if it is in the power then good grounds will get rid of it, if it is in the ant or rf bleeding into the preamp of the radio then there really isn't much you can do about it. Being that it is random and doesn't happen all the time it is more likely interference in the signal.

Double check your grounds, check your CB antenna's SWR, and if that doesn't fix it you can always install and RFI filter on the back of the CB.  I have a CB with an amp and 2 stereo amps in my car.  The only inteference I get is a slight bump in the subs when I key up with the CB amp on.
