If you're talking about that enclosure in the console it has JL subs in it. I would never ever put subs in a vehicle in that kind of configuration.

if you want a box like that then you should downfire the subs. i bet that box sounds like ***. couple weeks and the cones will be filled with coke or holes.

well my truck is a show truck so no drinks in daddys truck, i like haveing the speakers up thats the look in going for. what if they were kicker L7? would i still sound *****y?

That looks kind of cool, but if you're ever going to be driving it it's going to be uncomfortable. I suggest mounting the subs kind of like they are in that picture, but about a foot back.

I have listened to a vehicle with subs mounted like that and it didnt sound to good. Didnt think I would ever say a set of focal subs sounded bad but that jsut wasnt impressive at all.

dang! so what would be better if i got a down fire box in the consoul? or should i stick with my down fire box with 2 type s alpine's in my extended cab box ? i just need more boom gut shaking sound good quality but i dont have the space

hmmmm, if you want more than do both ;) Seriously though, if I was you then I would relise that by puttting subs under the rear seat in my truck I am severly limiting my space and would look else where. If I do a center console then mounting depth no longer becomes and issue and I can use a higher end driver or two and get more output
