Is there a solution to the sony receivers that use HiR for using the factory steering wheel controls.

On the steering wheel control interface, it has a setting for extended IR, which I think it says it's for Sony.

SoundGate makes steering wheel control interfaces for GM and Chrysler vehicles that work with Sony HiR radio's. Also if it has the mini plug for steering wheel control inputs, they have that also. Used a couple of them, they seem to work pretty well.
