hey people , I put apost last week about ideas for new system. I got afew replys.One was from forbidden, just wondering what people who have been around longer say for an opinion of him?he seems knowlegable or atleast more than me, is he? Does he have an unbias opinion on what is good or bad wether he cares the line or not? [Shops in my town will discredit other brands not in their show room saying they stopped carrying because they started letting their product slide if I was to believe every one in town it would mean they all carry crap.] This isn't apost so much for advice on systems but one for opinions on forbidden and his knowleage.Not out to offend any one so please don't attack me, Of all the different forums I've visit on I find this one of the more proffesional ones on advice. ive found that forbidden is very knowledgeable. everyone on here likes particular brands but noone on here has the same experiences. if he gave you advice that you didnt like then just dont listen. he was just giving his opinion. what exacly did he suggest?

He doesn't know anything. Niether do I. We are just internet whore's who love to respond to anything. We like to talk out our butts on a daily basis. Although, he has an unhealthy fascination with grounds, hehehe. Incase you can't pickup on the sarcasm, yes Rob knows his shhh.
As far as bias, did he try to sell you anything personally? If not then it doesn't matter. Everyone is biased, personally I won't buy audiobahn, sony, jensen, or anyother piece of crap.

It was forbidden who was the first to use the phrase " Ahhh, young grasshopper...go back to square one and do not pass go." Later, that verbage was stolen by the creators of "Kung Fu", when David Carradine was just a boy, and forbidden was never paid any royalties. He didn't even complain! Blah, Blah, Blah !! I have 137 pages and live with my parents. BEAT THAT ROB  Seriously though, asking opinions about a persons opinion will get you no where. On forums like these almost every answer is an opinion. As far as reputation and goes, I would definitely get him to install whatever he thought was best for my vehicle. He has been wonderful helping me with some questions I had. Thanks to him, I have what I consider an amazing sound system ! ! Very nice and seems to be very knowledagble.

Me either...... I'd like to thank my dogs, my other half...... and I do not live at home and my dad lives a day away, my mom is with me every day now - one of the final things she said to me, was good for you.   I wish I was young like most people assume I am, but 18 is exactly half my age. Thus half my life I have been involved in this industry. Am I opinionated, yes I am, but these opinions are drawn from years of experience. Experience does not mean that there are not new things to be learned. In this industry it happens every day. This site is an exceptional resource for the car audio industry, combined we all make it work and we all do our part to make it work....even though some of us have been slacking lately as I am waaaay too busy here at the shop. Something like this post also allows me to know if there are things that I need to work on, be it mannerism, knowledge, wording, jokes, etc. Feedback like this for me, be it good or bad allows me to do a better job for all. I have found his honesty to be quite helpful and no, I don't think he's half as biased as most on this board. Everyone has their favorites, you can't get away from that. Kind of a weird post if you ask me...

In all reality I dont know if I would have stuck with my hobby for as long as I did without this site and qithout forbidden and Velocity <---Jeff you got props too
I still have many things to learn but there are always simple brain farts these guys help me out with, then there are the times with alarms that they help me alot with!!!! 4 day install on a 2000 buick regal!!
Rob does have his oponions, as well as I do, as well as most do..When you change your own personal system on a monthly basis or install equipment daily you develop oponions. Almost all the time the truth show thru
I have a close friend who loved his audiobahn equipment, I never made fun of him, and I always helped him build new boxes ect, on his quest to get loud. Guess where his audiobahn equipment is? Its in a closet now, he hates them, bad mouths them except when he is trying to sell it off haha But the matter is we can tell you something and you can listen or throw it to the wind. Either way 9 times out of 10 you will just figure it out on your own
Rob is a great guy, if a had the spare money I would add his shop to my frequent stops all over Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and some other places along the way..But he is a little to far.

No problem, Now you have to wonder..all this time designing great system with the Help of you 2, learning how not to destroy my equipment.
But now, hahahaha I have turned to the dark side a place called USACi, where you run your equipment to the verge of destruction and sometimes run it past that point
2 sets of subs later and we are still not seeing the #'s we want, time for some bigger subs

^^^^ I don't get it. Overworked and no sleep, maybe I just can't read between the lines. Sometimes some of us are incredibly busy and do not have time to post. I am one of the few people on the site that are business owner, salespeople and installers all at the same time. I do not have all the answers as there is so much to know and learn everyday, but that does not keep me from passing on what I do know when time permits. Right now, no time = very few posts as I must look after the paying customer in front of me. Even Jeff (Velocity) is waiting for something as simple as a cheque for a small item I needed, Jeff, paperwork is being done this weekend as I have allocated the time for it on Sunday. ------------- Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
