will i knew that this would proborly happen I have a Legacy amp at 1000 watts (proborly nowhere near 1000 watts) but it moved it for a good hour lol and had its last ride ok when i was hooking up the sub i realized the size of wire that could fit inton this speaker when i was putting it in Paralell it ovisly needs more power and better connection I am looking to buy a MTX 81000D so i gotta drop some cash, but i can tell you this ok before the Alum12q was connected there was 2 True Blue subs and the 12 Q was as good as both of them put together if not a little better so i must say i really liek this sub and can wait to here it at a true 1000 watts from a MTX 81000D

all I have to say is this.   Sub dont blow amps, no matter how big a piece of junk they are. People blow amps by incorrectly hooking them up or by long peroind of heavy use, but not common.   Suggestion   learn impedances and wire your sub properly to your amp neext nime or the mony your gonna drop will be wasted

I'm with you, pimpin... Huh?!? Wha...?!? Anybody ever hear of a comma or a period in this thread? How about just taking a breath while typing!

Try that again, Maximaman. We'd love to help you, but you've gotta be a little more concise in your typing. Please try a little punctuation, so we can understand a little better.

Did you actually have a problem you wanted some help with? Or what?   Jeff does have it right, though. A woofer WILL NOT blow an amplifier. YOU say it's hooked up right, but obviously something is wrong somewhere in your setup. Describe to us exactly what happened, and any symptoms leading UP TO the failure, and maybe we can give you some insight.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
