my dad has a 98 sebring, i installed a pioneer deck, but the speakers pop alot, i think the deck combined with the infinity amp put out to much power for them maybe.  it looks like all the wires on the amps 2 harness maybe the matching, can i just connect the amp input wires to the output matching colors to bypass the amp?

No the colors do not match, And the power from the radio doesn't add to the power from the amp, so your not really appling too much power....It sounds like the settings on the radio are too high and need to be turned down.

I'll take a guess and say that its probably a convertible, and that would be the major reason that there is little bass response.

Solution:  Get a dedicated sub, and turn the bass down for the interior speakers.
