sub wiring question - ohms

Ok, so here's the setup. I have 2, 2ohm DVC subs. I know I can't get it to 1 ohm (which would've been friggin awesome). BUT, the way they're in the box right now, is paralleled in each sub. So, each sub is now at 1 ohm, right? SO, if I parallel them together at the amp, it's a 1/2 ohm load? Which I'm sure my amp would hate me for (audiobahn A18001DT...it might put up with me for a while, but eventually, it'd leave me like I was a cheap date). My question, is if I hook it like this: Sub #1 + to AMP + , Sub #1 - to Sub #2 +, Sub #2 - to AMP - ..... what kinda load would my amp see? Would that be a 2 ohm load? Or am I gonna have to rip my box back apart, and wire it different again? Not that it matters, but they are A1205Q subs. Thanks!

that'd give you a 2 ohm load total. This assumes that you parallel the DVC together and THEN wire the two subs in series.

I'd recommend nothing below 2ohms for the amp.

Have you thought about upgrading to a 2 channel 1ohm stable amp?

current money issues kinda prohibit that at the moment lol. That, and I assume I'd be looking at a pretty hefty amp for a 1000 watt x 2 channel, 1 ohm stereo stable amp. Though I have thought about down the road, picking up another A18001DT to run, one sub per. I dunno. I may change cars again in a year, and may just start from scratch then. Thank you!
