i am installing a deck in my jeep that i just bought. i removed the crap deck which worked fine, spliced in the new deck perfectly, and a no go. no juice from the 12v constant. must have blown a fuse or shorted a wire. i checked every fuse, looked over the wire all the way to the fusebox and couldnt find a thing wrong. its raining like a bastard here and my garage is full so i cant do a complete overhaul of the electrical system as i plan and the thought of hooking the decks power to the acc sickens me. any ideas from anyone, especially jeep owners would be appreciated. god damned old cars with butchered electrical systems

if the stock worked fine then you should have power. did you cut the plug or buy the adapter plug? are you sure that all the color codes are right?

it was an aftermarket deck. rampage haha. anyways, the wiring was a hack job. i traced back the constant, switched, and ground to the factory wiring and double checked the color codes. so the main three are hooked right to the factory wires with nothing in between. the acc and ground are fine.

did you check the fuse? if that isn't it just run a new constant off of your ign. harness. i think pink w/ black is constant, but test it cause i can't remember for sure today.
