i noticed that all the really good decks out there like...boss...insignia...dual...jensen...rockford...etc...etc...all seem to have something called MPX PLL...but does anyone actually know what that means or does...or doesen't do for you???i'm thinking of selling my 8600 or my 7996 or even my traffic pro to get one...lol

You're kidding about those brands being "really good decks," right?

MPX PLL stands for "multiplexing" and " phase-locked loop."  They are common radio tuning circuit IC designs and are realy nothing special.  Most radios use them.
