Is it ok to install a couple of sets of tweeters to the tweeter output on one crossover. I didnt know if it would overload the crossover or what . I figured as long as the resistance of all the tweeters was not to low for what is driving them then they and the crossover will be fine.

No. It will sound bad.  You won't harm the crossover, only your ears and possibly the amplifier.

Why do you need another pair of crossovers anyway?

i take it the guy likes ear piercing highs

just get a set of metal tweeters, maybe some titanium jbl's and bump the treble up to +10

Hmm..

Perhaps a more senior member could jump in here, but I believe when you change the impedence of the load you drive from the cross-over, you also change the cross-over point...   I *think* you'd wind up mis-tuning your speakers doing that.

Have you ever heard of CDT Audio?  They make crossovers that are exactly what you are looking for..  they have a seperate output for a supertweeter built onto all their crossovers along with a main tweeter output.  Adjustable tweeter-output and everything.

Sedate is right, the crossover point changes completely.  And as kfr01 said, it will sound terrible.  Even adding a second pair of tweeters with their own crossovers will most likely cause sound problems.  If your present speakers seem to be lacking a good treble sound, see about repositioning them first.
