I am workinh on a 98 z-24 cavalier trying to do an amp install and cannot get the rear seat up. I thought it just pulled up and i was wrong.

If I remember correctly there should be 2 plastic retaining clips that attach to the rear seat. Take a flat head screw driver and press in on the clip and pull at the same time.
