I took some good natured S*** on this sight last week and deservidly so when I confused DVD Audio with 5.1 DTS format. Hey I'm old, I can just barely turn this computer on. My computer science major junior installer corrected my stupidity but did tell me that Alpine's F-1 status deck is in fact a DVD Audio source. I stand corrected and thank Hamfist and Dyohn for going easy on me.

Ain't a fan of Alpine, but if Eclipse doesn't get off their asses soon, and come up with a good DVD-A deck, they're gonna lose me as a devoted customer! I am aware of the fact that a car is NOT an ideal place to spend the effort on DVD-A, but it would just force me to pursue even MORE perfection in the istallation and support... OK, forget the DVD-A...

what to do, what to do...?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
I go easy on everyone... don't I?
The new Acura RL and TL both come with DVD-A by... BOSE and Panasonic.
