Okay I need a nice size cap for my car and I was wondering why alot of them say 24V?????I need like 5 farid or so...

most of the 24v are a surge rating from what i understand i really think caps are somewhat useless i dont know what you need 5 fared for i installed a soundstream van gogh 1600.2  5 fared cap and an orbital battery in a 95 monte carlo and the lights dimmed really bad with that set up you may want to look into a kinetik battery checkout www.kinetikaudio.com

Even though I can't ever understand a single post from blowntweeters, (try some punctuation once in a while) IF I caught what he said in this last post, a better battery will serve you much better than ANY cap ever will, but not by itself. Take the 200 bucks a 5 Farad cap will cost you, and apply it towards an alternator. Don't forget your underhood wiring as well.

Generally speaking, a cap is only a bandaid, but one that lets the infection continue - it'll never heel...
