crossovers

i have a alpine cda 9813 head unit. Inside this radio it has a presetable EQ. The area i am able to adjust are the level (-6 - +6), the width(1,2,3), and the fqcy.
It seems to have 5 different channels for fqcys.

1. ranges from 20 to 160.
2. ranges from 80 to 500
3. ranges from 315 to 1.6 khz
4. ranges from 1.2 khz to 8.0 khz
5. ranges from 10 khz to 20 khz

These are if you drop down to the lowest fqcy in each number they can achieve these numbers.

What i would like help with is programing this best suited for listening to Country music, classic rock, Jimmy buffet, and alternative rock. i have 6 programable slots. Any help is greatly apreciated.

Just for FYI: System consists of 1 1000x US amp and 2 TU-600 Us amps. The subs are 12" image dynamics idq v.4. I am using memphis car audio: coxials 5*7 with built in tweeters in the rear area of the car, and the front speakers are Mclass 6.5 componets.

We can't tell you what is going to work best for you. EVERY installation/listener/car is going to be different. My suggestion would be somewhere around 80 and down (ideally, I'd really go around 50 and down for a subwoofer, but this would leave a HUGE hole in your response). Then 80 to 3500 and 3500 and up... these are ONLY suggestions, and by no means the gospel. After these crossover points, then you need a good RTA to set your EQ.

I misunderstood your original post. I though those were crossover bands. The crossover settings still apply, but then, you still need an RTA to set the EQ. Also, another suggestion would be to read the owners manual, and UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY the purpose and functionality of a parametric equalizer.
