That may sound like strange question, i'm just about to install brown bread sound deadening stuff to my car interior. I saw couple of place recommandation to put two layer on the front door. One on  the inside metal sheet where the door panel goes and one on the outside metal sheet. My question, if I clean the inside of the door to remove all oil and stick brown bread to the external metal sheet is there any possibility that this may retain moisture / water dirt that could create rust ? As I leave in hell, with a lot of snow / salt ect.. and lot of people get their car oil treated to prevent rust, i'm wondering if i should just put on the inside part of the door...

Any idea?

moisture will go in and out of your door because of that vent when you clean the inside of the door just be sure to dry the area and then stick the matarial on the metal what you want to do is make sure you dont lock any moisture between the two surface's and then you should not get any premature rust i lived in MN for 20 years i have seen a lot of cars rust there way to the junkyard i understand your concern  you could also try spray on dynamat for the area you are the most concerned about the rust
