Just curious....

How do you guys go about bridging thick speaker wires into a terminal that's too small? Thanks in advance....just wanting to know different approaches towards this....

Use smaller speaker wire... in a car there is really no need to use speaker wire larger than 16 gage in any case, unless it's simply for looks.

really?...interesting...another question....what if these speakers are 2 15" MTX Thunders (8000 Series)? same theory? thanks man!

He did say any case didn't he?posted_image Unless your 1000+ watt amp is under the hood and your speakers are in the trunk then never.

The theory is right about not generally having to use anything larger then 16gauge, but I personally prefer to use 12 or 14.

This is probably becasue I'm so used to working with home stereos where the runs can be rather long.

Just be safe, go with 14gauge, it's only $1 more at walmart

i run 2400 wrms through 14 awg......, no problemo's.
