i have a 2000 gmc sonoma extended cab truck.
i am running a audiobahn a2x200hq amp with a kicker sub.
where would be a good ground in this truck?
seat bolt?
what about the jack plate that is welded to the back wall of the cab?
thanks in advance any help is greatly appreciated.

Any place that is clean metal attached to the frame of your car is fine. 

Make sure you sand off any offending paint.  Yea, I grounded my entire system to my rear-seat belt bolt.

And make sure the ground is TIGHT.  No jiggles or looseness *at all*

what if i grind down a spot on the jack mount plate will that work? that way my wire is tucked away behind my box. thanks for the help

I have used the jack mount plate as a ground location in an s-10 and it worked great.  It is spot welded to the rest of the truck cab so it is solid ground.  Good Luck!
