I recently did an install and a 1999 Gmc Sarfari Van.  I installed a HU, Ran powerwire, and hooked up and amp.  My question is that when ever the owner turns on there headlight the dash lights turn of so you can't see anything.  The hu is a panasonic and it didn't have the illumnation wire to connect to it.  I figured that might be the proplem, but i also thought that maybe the since i moved that the dashboard around something may have dissconnected or went bad.  So is there anyway that i can test what went wrong or any help would help.

try check the plugs at the switch also check the dimmer control maybe you bumped all the way off and the owner went to turn on the lights but didn't check that. just a thought.
