in the owners manual it states 2 ohm load  350 x 1  .   the amp has two channels does this mean it has 350 watts per channel or  350 watts for both channels?   this is a mono amp .  and is it better to wire to a lower ohm rating or hire.

The amp only has one channel.  It has two sets of speaker terminals so you can cleanly connect two woofers to it in parallel.  The rating given is 350 X1 @2 ohm, therefore witha 2 ohm load the amplifier will put out 350 watts.   The lower the impedence rating the better.  I believe it is stable to 1 ohm.  Good Luck!

correct. At 1 ohm it is rated 1000 watts... realisticly its more like 900 watts, unless you have a solid electrical system. Both + are connected internaly, and both -s as well. So just get er down to 1 ohm and youll be pullin some good power then. I have had these amps down to 1/2 ohm without a problem (other than they get very hot.)
