does the distance from the amp to the cap matter. was wondering since my cap is going to be on one side of the trunk and the amp on the other side. thx for any reply

yeah it matters... the further you are from your cap, the more energy is lost in the cable... Ohm's law, man. Get it as close as possible, ideally, within 12 to 14 inches of your amp...

unless you get bigger gauge wire. which you still want a short amout
