Back in the mid 90's I had a Kicker ZR sub amp that had a remote gain control that was great for dialing bass up and down. My current amp does not have that as an option and adjusting the sub's speaker level in the head unit is a pain.

Here's my question, I've seen both Diamond Audio and Phoenix Gold amps with something called a remote bass control. Are these true gain controls, or just some type of bass "boost" at a specified frequency?

Thanks!

-Pete

Some are just gain controls while others boost a certain frequency.

You can add a bass knob in line of your RCA's. I believe PAC makes a few.
