I got rid of the ranger for a better bigger f150.  Now i gotta get something in there to round off the sound curve.  does anyone know what differences there are in a 12w0-8 and 12IB4 (both are 8 ohm).  they are obviously different subwoofers but are there any major differences or do they basically play the same and sound the same?

The ib4 is intended for Infinite Baffle or free air use.

they will get the same box in my truck im already working on getting it built, so i dont really need infinite baffle properties but the ib4 is a little less than the w0

Don't really know the specs or requirements for those subs, but if you have the opportunity to get a sub that is designed for a sealed enclosure, and a sealed enclosure is what you have, use common sense.

JL 12" W0 woofers sealed enclosure volume 1 to 1.75 cu. ft. JL 12" IB 4 woofers in ANY sealed enclosure less then say 10 cubic feet would sound like AZZ.

there you have it, better shell out some extra cash so you don't have AZZ sounds.
