I was wondering how stable or safe would it be to run an Orion H2 15D2 with a Orion 2500D running a parallel circut at 1 ohm for a daily driver or if I should sacrfice some power and purchase the Orion H2 15D4 and run it in parallel curcuit at 2 ohms.

For pure SQ reasons I'd go with the 2 ohm anyday.  You'd have twice the headroom.  But given that you've  "fried me Brahma,"  you may want to re-evaluate some things, IMO.

Along those lines, there really aren't any single drivers built to handle that kind of power for daily use.  An amp that size is really for multiple drivers and/or SPL contests.  The exception is some very atypical box designs, something like a 15" driver in 1/2 cu ft box.  Check out Carver's home theater subwoofer - a true 2k watt amp built into a very small cabinet with a single driver.  He operates under a different company name these days, I forget what it's called.

On the other hand, it's always nice to have power to spare...
