you need to find someone who keeps these in stock & listen to them, it's the only way to know.  Apart from that, you'd have a hard time finding cheaper seperates.  I saw on Ebay the ref series MBQ's for consistantly about the same price, I'd go there personally, but I like MBQ's.

I guess this is what became of the Cobalt series. I see they kept the 3 ohm vc. If they sound like the old Cobalts, they are decent bang for the buck, but you should definitely audition some before you buy.
