The Alpine in my 1996 Explorer broke and I went and got a used factory CD/cassete player that came out of either a 1997 or 1998 explorer but none of the wiring guides on this site match the wires that this unit has the colors of the speaker wires are the same but I can't find the switched and constant 12V+ neither the antenna trigger I have 7 wires left on the same connector that has all the speaker wires and then there's anothe connector with 3 wires that also do not match any of the guides here, has someone run into something like this. I have checked the colors for all Explorers 1995 through 1998 and none match.

I got the Stereo to work now I just hava a couple more questions the first one is my original stereo has the wire for the ground of a separate speaker amplifier and the one I'm installing does too but there is sound from speakers with either that cable connected or left off. And there's no difference in sound level. Should I connect it or leave it off?
The other question is that I noticed that the sound level from both left side speakers is noticeable lower than the right side speakers is this normal for a factory stereo, since the left side is closer to the driver?
