I have a newly aquired 1988 GMC Sierra pickup truck I want to put my old piece of shhh CD player in because the radio doesn't work. It doesn't have a factory tape player, just the stupid little radio control, similar to the ones that came in the older pontiac sunbirds. I don't want to get rid of the "cubby hole" in the dash either, it's perfect for my cigarettes and cell phone. Is this possible? The CD player is a Lanzar VBD-300.

There's a kit for this truck that replaces the space under the center vents with the CD player. The little cassette player is actually a big pain in the butt to remove and it's actually huge. All the size is behind the dash and will take about 45 minutes to remove if you know what to remove and what not to.

you can get a pocket that will relplace your old radio( the small one where you radio controls are) then you will have apocket back then do what jeff had suggested.

Thanks, as long as I don't lose any dash space to keep my crap everything should work out.
