Alpine MRD-M1000

Hi,
I just have one Mono Block of Alpine MRD-M1000 and thinking to use 2 of 12'subwoffers from alpine or jlaudio. Can anyone suggest me which the best sub to match with my MRD-M1000.

The spec of MRD-M1000 :
1800 watt max power in 2 ohm
1000 watt RMS in 2 ohm
500 watt RMS in 4 ohm

I think the amp is stable in 2 ohm, so i am going to wired the subs into 2 ohm load. any sugestment? is it better to use just one sub like JLaudio 12w7.

I have a MRD-M1001 and a 12W7 right now. It gets loud and sounds good, but there are better options out there IMO. What exactly are you looking for? SPL? SQ? BOTH?

I'm looking for both SPL and SQ actually. I considering to use 2 subs 12" with one MRD-M1000 only dueto make looks good at my Trunck. But i don't know which type of subs suit my amp? It's will sound better and enough power if using 2 sub? Or better just use one Sub like JL 12w7?

Are you going with a 4 ohm DVC or 2 ohm DVC ? or SVC ?

Hmm.. for this moment, still dunno the best one using 4ohm or 2 ohm speaker dvc or svc. which the best to suit my amp?
Firstly, I'm thinking to use 2 of Alpine SWR-1222D DVC (2ohm each coil and 500watt rms peak 1500watt). I abit doubt with my power. Is my amp will enough power to run this?

The other one that i thing is to use 2 of JL 12w3v2 or alpine SWS-1242D (all DVC).

For instalation, i'm thinking to mount the subs free air
fasing back sheat. I don't know it's good or not due to the sub is not design for free air.

I don't think any of those subs will do well in free air. The Type R's you mentioned would both sound good and get quite loud with that amp in a ported box. You would be going a little over the RMS of JL's, and I don't like to tell people to do that, but they could probley handle it without any problems. The Type S's are a lesser speaker than the Type R's, so if you can afford the Type R's, well...

So, it's better to use 2 sub Alpine type R rather than just set with one of JL 12w7? if with type R, which better to chose 2 ohm or 4 ohm in DVC?

concidering about wiring,
2 of alpine type R 12" DVC (2ohm+2ohm)
wiring with scheme
Two 2 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers in (series/parallel) = 2 ohm load
So the load will be 2 ohm. I think my amp stable in 2 ohm. so, i will set the sub into 2 ohm total. is it right :)

I not quite understand with the power and ohm of amp actually.
let say, If i used 2 sub of alpine type R, is my power will split out from 1000 watt rms(2ohm) to 500watt for each sub? or the both sub will receive 1000watt? and what the advantages of using one sub rather than 2 sub? which better?
