Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience with JL's new signal processor - Cleansweep?  Aside from the marketing literature, I haven't been able to get much info on it.  Any idea how much it costs?

Thanks in advance.

Brian

Oh, sure... If you believe EVERYTHING you read, then it is the savior of our souls... I would say, with the reputation of JL, it is probably a decent piece, and it should do what it claims.

No idea as to cost - nobody seems to want to commit...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Just finished using my first one last week in a 2005 Nissan Maxima. Got 4 clean, flat RCAs out of the stock HU/Nav. Fantastic! Retail is $400 and well worth it.

Is is a good item built by a good company. I usually recommend the Audio Control LC6 as it retains the factory volume control whereas the cleansweep adds a new one, leaving the factory one useless. To each his own and choose the one for the application.

The factory volume control still works. The idea with the additional JL volume control is to eliminate the factory bass roll off at higher volume settings.

"Retail is $400"

Oh wild blue dreams... where every opening is a standard 2xDIN and every speaker has a deep, deep mounting hole.

Retail is FOUR HUNDRED WHAT?

Come on?  WTF is with cars now anyway?  Has anyone seen what Mazda is doing to their stereos?  I'd rather drive a Sentra than a RX8 with that nasty beast in the dash.  Ick.

Am I REALLY gonna have to buy a Scion to get a DIN in a couple of years?  What's going on?

Here's the deal. Met with JLs VP of sales, Hal Mouton. Jl was thinking about getting into head units, but looked at the numbers ( by 2008 25% of all cars will lock out the aftermarket ) and decided that ALL of that 25% was better than fighting with all the other aftermarket for the 75%. This thing works great. It's easy to set up and will allow us into all the Mercedes, BMWs, Lexus' and all other luxury cars that 3 weeks ago we couldn't touch. $400? That's what a good HU costs. Four 8 volt, clean, flat pre outs...heaven.
