hello, i know that this is not exactly car audio problems but it is somehow related to it. my speaker in my back door of the drivers seat of my 98 nagivator started to rattle so i thought it was starting to blow. i wanted to chek out the speaker but the only problem is that i dont know how to remove the door panel. i thought that it was like the rest of the truck, all the panels are snapped off, so i started to pull on the panel from the bottom but then i heard a *snap*. i think i broke something cause i tried to 'snap' it back in place and it didnt. so now i got 2 problems, replacing the blown speaker and fixing the panel. can anyone direct me in the right process to remove the door panel of my gator, thanks

If I remember correctly, there's only two 7mm head screws that hold it on.  Check in the usual places- at the door handle, behind the light, etc.  I don't remember where.  Then lift up on the panel, and out.

that snap you heard might have been one of the pins which snapped of the door panel since your door panel isnt snapping back into place, it can be fixed easily once the door panel is removed, as to removing the panel i dont remember off the top of my head but you probably have to remeove the pop the accessory  panel on the door remove the harness and any screws and check for any other screws around the door or any other panels that could pop up and have screws under them, youll figure it out youll also know how to change the speaker once the panel is removed its probably just a couple of screws anyways good luck

Remove what geepherder said and you also have to remove the door handle with I think 9mm, then the panel should pull right up, not out. The snap you heard was actually one of the plastic clips breaking which won't be too easy fix...you'll have to glue it back on, but it won't be as strong anymore.....Better yet take it to a local stereo shop spend $35 for removal/installation and save the rest of the door panel.
