Ok I have begun my install.  The Rca cables that came with the amp install kit have a black wire on one end.  What is the wire for (ground ?) and does this go on the amp side or the hu side.

Sometimes when you have noise problems, it's a great solution.  It's meant to use as a ground.  You connect it to the head unit ground, and the amp ground, that way they see the same ground potential, and no more noise.  Some people just use it as a turn on lead if they feel lazy.

Install was going great until I hit a wire on the wiring harness drilling thourgh the firewall.  Car won't start.  being towed to dealer....dough
