Asking this question one more time, so hopefully ill get the answer i want. lol Im going to purshase two 10" subs, I would love two buy some good jl's, but I just cant afford this time. I've been looking at cardomain.com and crutchfield.com to find some dual 4ohm subs that will handle my kicker vr1000 (or almost handle).I was wondering would it be safe to run two speakers that only handle 300w-400w rms each. I also need help picking a brand. I have been looking at Image dynamics, infinity kappa perfect 10.1d, mtx thunder 5500+7500, alpine type s+r, kicker comp vr cvr104, mb quart pwe or rwe 254. Has anyone heard some or any of these that could help me decide? Also Why have the mb quarts dropped in price so much? Bad product or new model coming.
I have been looking at these because they are close to the price range i would like to spend. Im taking any suggestions, so please If there are any other brands of 10" dual 4ohm subs (pair) that would fall in the $250-$350 dollar price range and are a good bang for buck let me know. Also keep in mind I am more interested in the sound quality than loudness. Yeah I know I should probably spend more money.
Look at the Eclipse 10's - I think they'll outrun all these for SQ. Turn the gains down n the amp - 700w is still a lot of power. But I'd still pick the JL's over the Eclipse anyhow. Here's the deal:

Pick 2 of the above 3, that's reality. My advice, wait a few months & get what you really want.
