Anyone have experience with 2002( or similar) Chevy Blazer speaker install? Specifically, the dash and door speakers? I have dash, door and rear panel speakers with an OEM radio, non- BOSE.

Upgrading to:Pioneer DEH-P3700P, Clarion 6x9(rears), Pioneer4x6( dash), PPI amp( for rears). Doors are debatable.

Dumb question: is this a three channel sytem? Are the dash and door speakers separated with a crossover?

Suggestions for doors( short of components)?

Thanks for any advice/ help.

Door speakers should be a oversize 6.5" speaker. This vehicle lends itself perfectly for component speakers in the stock locations. The tweeter in the dash and the mid in the door. The factory speakers in the front are wired together with no crossover. Save the money from the Pinner 4x6" speakers and put that towards a good set of oversize 6.5" components and use the amp on these speakers. The front speakers are by far and away the most important speakers in your vehicle. Even if it means not replacing the rears right now to get better front speakers, do it, you can always upgrade the rears at a later date.

I have an '02 blazer and i have to agree with forbidden...  The money you would spend on two pairs of 2,3, or even 4 way speakers would be much better spent on a nice set of components!  I just put in a set of MB Quart  "Q" line components in my blazer and they scream!!! spend the money on the components.... you will be much happier!

In my Blazer (96) I have th 4x6's in the dash (incredibly easy to replace, the origional speakers wern't even 4x6's, they were tweeters with that sized base), and 6.5's in the front and rear doors.

As of yet, I've replaced all the speakers with coax's. Pioneer 4x6's in the dash, Pioneer 5.25's in the back doors, and Infinity reference 5.25's in the front doors.

When I get the money, I'm gonna do some comps.
